Crush is a newly formed alt rock band out of Kelowna that dabbles in various types of rock and blends them into one refreshingly familiar modern sound. But don’t let their “new” brand fool you on their talent. They have been playing and performing professionally for years, separately in other cities and projects. When these strangers got together one to day to jam, magic happened. Four different personalities, coming from four different musical backgrounds, inspired the high energy band you know and love today called “Crush XO.” With another single called “Sold My Soul” out, they are very busy writing new music and crafting an unforgettable live show that’ll have you feel like you’re at a stadium listening to the next big star!

Shalisa, their lead singer/ songwriter, moved to Kelowna about a year ago from Alberta to embark on a new journey. She comes from a variety of musical backgrounds including country, classic rock and pop! Some highlights for Shalisa have been playing Calgary Stampede “Coke Stage”, “Live At Heart Music Festival in Sweden”, “Big Valley Jamboree,” Opening for Travis Tritt, Reba, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Nazareth and Lou Graham from Foreigner. Needless to say she has some pretty powerful vocals and loads of energy to front this powerhouse rock band!

Sean is the founder of Crush and their Bass Guitarist/songwriter. He’s born and bread Kelowna all the way through and started playing country with his dad at a young age. He was privileged enough to play “Alberta’s Own Hard Rock Festival” when Clutch headlined. 30+ years of playing for this seasoned musician has him able to play bass in his sleep!

Dylan is our lead guitarist. This humble human can shred like no other! He’s been endorsed by EMG pick ups and won numerous competitions on the island and in the okanagan landing him a brand new Ibanez guitar. Dylan has been playing for  over 18 years but you’d think it was a lifetime with the talent rolling off of this guy.

Shane packs a solid punch and steady flow in the rhythm section. He’s toured across Canada and cut an album with Crosstown Studios and had the honour to play with Barney Bental, April Wine, Trooper, Rymes With Orange, Harlequin, The odds and Headstones!

Crush plays anything from”Mumford and Sons” to “No Doubt” to “Pretty Reckless” to “Elle King” to “Kaleo” to “Kid Rock” and still manages to make it their own. Their high energy on stage is contagious and will have you dancing in no time!

Crush is currently writing new music and plans to have their first single “Pour Me A Little More” out before the new year!
